Navesetron Vial (Palonosetron)
Each 1 ml contains 0.05 mg Palonosetron
Palonosetron injection is a second generation 5-HT3 receptor antagonist with a strong binding affinity. It works by blocking the action of serotonin, a natural substance that may cause nausea and vomiting.
Although nausea and vomiting can result from surgery, opiates, or radiotherapy. Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) is a common side-effect of many cancer treatments. Nausea and vomiting are two of the most feared cancer treatment-related side effects for cancer patients.
5-HT3 receptor antagonists are very effective antiemetic and constitute a great advance in the management of CINV.
Indications:
• Highly and moderate emetogenic cancer chemotherapy.
• Prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV)for up to 24 hours.
